Spreadin' Compost!

Saturday was a beautiful day to spread the word about the value of composting in Steinbach! Dedicated SETI volunteers met at in the morning to distribute flyers and discuss the best ways to manage organic "waste" with citizens at their homes.
Did you know that 2/3 of the waste that ends up at the landfill is organic, and not trash? If we keep that in our yards and gardens where it belongs, we can extend the landfill's usefulness by 10 years - all while turning pollutants into valuable fertilizer. Many thanks to the SETI members who devoted a lovely spring morning to their community.
